It’s week three of One Room Challenge sponsored by Better Homes and Gardens and finally we are making some progress in our Tween Bedroom Makeover! We are at the first steps of getting to the pretty part! Over the weekend, I rendered some amazing drawings of ours to help envision our design even better.
We have been checking things off our list and swinging hard at the curve balls tossed our way. The built-ins were finally installed completely and they look amazing! We had our wallpaper installer ready to go, but due to a positive virus test that was cancelled. So now we are on the hunt for a new installer. Fingers crossed.
Paint
We prepped the walls, sanded and then painted them in Benjamin Moore Mascarpone and the ceiling is Heavenly Blue. I LOVE this color. It’s clean and fresh! These colors are not sterile and will be a perfect backdrop for all of the color we will be adding with the accessories. I think that’s important.
Lighting
The electrician was here installing the junction boxes for the new fixtures. We have added lighting throughout the room. To begin, in week one, you will see a ceiling fan. This has been removed and a bubble light will go in its place. In addition, we have added a single pendant in a nook area and wall scones behind the headboard.

I am loving all your videos you’re sharing on Insta! It’s coming along SO beautifully. Love the wallpaper, ceiling, lighting and built ins. I can imagine how scary that was knowing your installer tested positive. I’m trying to be super cautious. Great post! Gorgeous room!
