Welcome to Week Two of my One Room Challenge! If you missed Week One, see it here. I’m working on my 10-year-old daughter’s bedroom, and as you can see, I’m working with lots of fun, happy colors. Fabricut, Stroheim and Trend fabrics will be featured throughout the project as they were generous sponsors on this project.
With week two gearing up, so has an abrupt reminder that transforming a room in eight weeks during a pandemic is no joke. Oh boy! You see, everything is really moving at an abnormally slow pace. The word of the day (every day) is patience! I do not know if I am succeeding with patience to tell you the truth. Why? One day you receive notice that your furniture will be shipped and then you are notified the VERY next day that it has been delayed two weeks. It is a true roller coaster at the moment. Trying to keep the project moving forward is the ultimate goal at this point. But, this is what we do, we plan, we schedule, we pivot and adjust!
But let’s really dive into the plan! First, the inspiration is key here. My daughter loves color and loves polka dots. We began with that jumping point and created an inspiration board. Check out more of the plan in the video below.
Then we found amazing fabrics and wallpaper from our sponsors. Check them out below.
In our planning, we selected our furniture, bedding, and lighting to create such a sweet, colorful unique plan. My daughter loved the design boards!
There’s a lot more to do! Follow me on Instagram for sneak peeks along the way & check back in again next Thursday for more updates.
