Now, I just went to High Point Market, the Mecca of furnishings and decor, this October and saw first hand the trends for fall and winter. It was beautiful, creative and so exciting. Moving through showroom after showroom really gets the decorating juices flowing. Forecasted trends for the next season are rich, lush and bold decor. It all begins with Velvet!
Trends:
Velvet was everywhere! You can use this textile with pillows, furniture, and throws. It is a perfect way to add warmth, sophistication to your space. Who doesn’t love to caress a velvet pillow! Check out these pillows below.

Woven Textures, especially natural wovens have been on the up and up for the past few years. Now, expect to see even more! While in High Point, woven textures were used in pendant lighting, outdoor like furniture was brought indoors, as well as casegoods displaying woven texture to create a warm, functional piece. This is a perfect substitute if you are not into the reclaimed wood addiction that is seen everywhere.
Blush! Decor inspired by Benjamin Moore’s “Tissue Pink” paint was all over High Point Market this year both in the spring and the fall. Decor and home accents in a range of shades creating a soft, luxurious feel in any space. This fall, furniture was covered in this glorious color and I just could not get enough of it!

I definitely love incorporating details on the ceiling. I loved the velvet everywhere. It’s so rich and luxurious. I imagine that thanksgiving would be amazing with lush seating.
