Jennifer Lynn Interiors is a Kingston, NY-based full-service interior design firm that designs stylish yet timeless interiors for clients up and down the east coast, from New York to South Carolina and beyond. We specialize in whole home and multi-room space planning, furnishing, and decorating to create homes for our clients that are beautiful, put together, and cohesive from top to bottom.

PROJECT COORDINATOR

Project coordinator is responsible for overseeing the successful completion of a project from start to finish. They solidify the scope of the project, set up a task and tracking mechanism (e.g. project management software, spreadsheets), organize, execute, track, monitor, problem solve, and complete the project per time and budget specifications. They ensure projects meet project/client specifications, goals, and quality standards

Some of the Responsibilities of a Project Coordinator, but not limited to:

  • Solidify project scope, develop schedule, and communicate status 

  •  Purchasing

  • Track project tasks and orders daily and proactively address issues as they arise

  • Conduct quality control, coordinate deliveries, keeping all appropriate parties informed of progress and changes

  • Oversee installations

  • Perform financial tracking and other related financial responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong, positive, professional relationships with staff, clients, suppliers, and related business partners

  • Support other team members or project coordinators as needed

  • Analyze and improve processes

  • Document new processes

  • Suggest ways to improve efficiency, effectiveness, 

Minimum Qualification:

  • at least two years of experience as a project coordinator

  • Must have managed a project with many moving parts and details to follow up on

  • Must have worked on a project management software Asana is a plusƒ 

  • Leadership

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

INTERIOR DESIGN

The JLI Interior Designer position is for someone who can “roll up their sleeves” and handle a multitude of tasks, both large and small. Our perfect candidate is able to work independently, is highly motivated, extremely detail oriented, organized and has a desire to be involved in a small, boutique firm where they can have a large impact.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop and manage 5-6 large scale projects simultaneously 

  • Nurture client relationships while overseeing projects  

  • Attend site visits

  • Manage client installations

  • Oversee & maintain relationships with contractors on projects

  • Coordinate subcontractors to their affiliated project

  • Other duties include: AutoCAD work, concept design, working with purchaser and expeditor to make sure projects run smoothly 

MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years of experience working with a interior design or architectural firm

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Chief Architect, IVY is a plus

  • Excellent project management skills, extremely detail oriented, proactive and a self-starter

  • Must be knowledgeable of high end design bring new creative ideas to the team 

  • Ability to problem solve, work creatively and enjoy a collaborative work environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Social Marketing Intern

Jennifer Lynn Interiors, Inc. is a boutique interior design firm specializing in residential design. 

The intern will be responsible for implementing company social media/marketing strategies to increase company awareness and exposure; develop, analyze, and refine company social media/content strategies; and coordinate content creation with staff. The focus of the internship will be on SEO, Social Media, and Marketing. You will also build an understanding of the dynamics of working with our team and an agile technology environment. We are a team of 3 looking to make a footprint in the local community to source leads. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and posting on social networks, curating user-generated content, engaging in online communications, and participating in online outreach and promotion.

Candidates with strong communications and organizational skills, with sales, retail, customer service, real estate, mortgage brokerage, financial or similar backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Ambitious entry-level candidates with the required personal attributes are encouraged to apply.

Job Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Google Suite applications, such as Docs, Sheets, Drive

  • Knowledge of search and marketing via Social networks (LinkedIN, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest)
